Taken from a 1/4 plate glass negative that was purchased on E-Bay
A classic Great Western Railway scene with a long scrapped small boilered 4-6-0 on passenger train duty at an unknown location, probably before 1923

Nice photo. Looks like a GWR Star class. Looks to date circa 1912ish, judging by the lack of the four cone brake ejector exhaust pipe along the boiler, lack of top feed for the water to the safety valve bonnet, and the presence of the polished rims on the wheel splashers and the builder's plate on the center one. Very nice indeed.
